The Office of the City Engineer conducts inspection/evaluation/assessment and makes recommendations to the City Mayor for the issuance of Work Permit to excavate portions of the road right-of-way in its jurisdiction for the installation, repair, or improvement of water pipes, gas pipes, telephone or telegraph wires or cable conduit, sewer and drainage pipes, communication systems, and power lines, and any other types of excavations undertaken by the government or public utility companies as provided for in the City Ord. No. 2009-001, series of 2009 known as the “Excavation Ordinance of the City of San Fernando, La Union”.
