The City Budget Office as member of the Local Finance Committee assists the Sanggunian in the analysis and review of the annual and supplemental budgets to determine compliance with statutory and administrative requirements (Section 316 [g], RA No. 7160). This phase starts from the time the Sanggunian receives the Local Expenditure Program (LEP) submitted by the City Mayor, and ends with the enactment of the Appropriation Ordinance and approval thereof by the City Mayor.
